There’s something about a Bridgeport Art Center Skyline Loft wedding that just feels like classic Chicago—industrial charm, sweeping city views, and a space full of warmth and character. Allyssa and Alan’s black tie wedding brought all of that together with such intention and heart.
A Classic Start at The Palmer House
The day began at the Palmer House Hotel, a space that carries its own sense of history and timelessness. Allyssa spent the morning surrounded by her closest people, moving through each moment with a calm that set the tone for the rest of the day.
Across the city, Alan got ready at a family home. Something that immediately brought a different kind of meaning into the day. Familiar, personal, and rooted in the people who have been there from the beginning.
A Meaningful Ceremony at St. Bartholomew
Their ceremony took place at St. Bartholomew, where everything felt steady and intentional. They chose not to do a first look, which made the moment Alan saw Allyssa for the first time even more impactful. There’s always something about that pause—the anticipation, the stillness—that can’t be recreated any other way.
Garfield Park Conservatory and Museum of Contemporary Art Portraits
After the ceremony, we made our way to Garfield Park Conservatory—a perfect backdrop of lush greenery and soft, natural light that balanced beautifully with the couple’s formal look. We followed that with portraits at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, where the clean lines and minimal architecture added a modern contrast. These locations weren’t just photogenic—they were a true reflection of Allyssa and Alan’s love for art, nature, and the city they call home.
Bridgeport Art Center Skyline Loft Wedding Reception
As the sun dipped low, guests arrived at the Skyline Loft at Bridgeport Art Center, where golden hour light streamed through the towering windows and lit up the space’s exposed brick and timber beams. The reception design was a seamless mix of black tie elegance and personal touches—refined, romantic, and totally them.
Bridgeport Art Center was the perfect backdrop for their vision: timeless, elevated, and full of soul. Being invited to document a day like this—where every moment feels both intentional and natural.

The in-between moments, the way things actually felt. If that resonates with you, I’d love to connect with you.
