You might remember these two from the engagement session at Franklin Falls in October. A few weeks ago, I flew back to Seattle to document Lydia and Ben’s Thomas Family Farm wedding in Snohomish, a quaint little rural town north of Seattle. The venue was so reminiscent of our years at the University of Illinois, surrounded by farm land and cornfields.
The wedding day started with Ben getting ready at the farm while Lydia got ready at her parents’ home before heading to the farm for their first look. As the ceremony got underway, Ben could not contain his huge smile as Lydia walked down the aisle with her father. Tears started to roll (from my eyes included) when they exchanged their handwritten vows. And just like that, they celebrated as they walked back down the aisle together, now as husband and wife! After the ceremony, they opened up their unique boba bar, which all the guests lined up for. During the reception, the speeches were some of the funniest ones I’ve heard at a wedding, including one by Ben’s sisters, where they went back and forth like a rehearsed monologue. The evening closed with an awesome dance party, followed by a sparkler exit.
Lydia & Ben, thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding. Congratulations!
